Bail is set at $250,000 for a Centralia man accused of sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 12 for several years.
Robert Brian Raley, 42, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at approximately 1:09 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, after the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office completed an investigation that began on March 18, 2025, according to court documents and jail records.
The case was referred to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office by a detective in Oregon, where the case was initially reported and investigated, after the investigation revealed that some of the incidents had occurred in Lewis County.
The Lewis County incidents allegedly occurred in Onalaska and Centralia between 2019 and 2024.
Raley was charged Wednesday, April 23, in Lewis County Superior Court with one count of first-degree rape of a child, which is a class A felony punishable by up to life in prison.
“These allegations pose a significant risk to community safety, especially to children in our community,” Lewis County Superior Court Judge Joely Yeager said during Raley’s preliminary hearing on Wednesday, where she granted the prosecution’s request to set Raley’s bail at $250,000.
Raley’s conditions of release include provisions prohibiting him from having any contact with minors or going places where minors are known to congregate, such as schools or playgrounds.
Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, May 1.
A no-contact order protecting the victim is in place.
