A 36-year-old Winlock man was charged Thursday with one count each of second-degree burglary, second-degree vehicle prowl and third-degree theft after being accused of entering a resident’s fenced and gated property in December 2025.
He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for the burglary charge, if convicted.
According to court documents, multiple law enforcement officers reviewed video of the suspect “walking around the property shining his light around,” and identified him as Michael R. Delmar.
In January, the victims allegedly reported they had found a backpack inside a truck on their property, and discovered a Leatherman tool and flashlight were missing. They also found glasses that the suspect had allegedly been seen wearing on video.
A sheriff’s deputy arrested the suspect in Winlock on Jan. 21. According to court documents, Delmar allegedly said “he had actually driven the truck.”
Delmar made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court the next day.
The judge set bail at $20,000 cash or bond. Delmar is scheduled for an arraignment on Jan. 29.
