The Washington State Patrol issued a missing indigenous person alert on Thursday for a 17-year-old Toledo girl.

Katelyn McCloud was last seen walking to school in Toledo at approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6. She never arrived at school.

Katelyn is described as 5-foot-five, 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The Washington State Patrol does not have a description of what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone who sees Katelyn is advised to call 911.

The Toledo Police Department is investigating Katelyn’s disappearance.

“Murdered (and) missing indigenous women, children and men historically have been overlooked. The Toledo Police department appreciates Toledo City Council members, former Mayor Steve Dobosh (and) current Mayor Cheri Devore for supporting by proclamation the ongoing battle to raise awareness and demand justice for humanity,” Toledo Police Chief Duane Garvais Lawrence said in an email to The Chronicle on Thursday.

Authorities ask the public to call 911 if the girl is seen.
