The Lewis County Auditor’s Office on Friday, Aug. 1, shared additional information on the upcoming Aug. 5 primary election.
In a news release from the auditor’s office, Elections Manager Jolene Manuel informed the public that unofficial results from the Aug. 5 primary will be available starting at about 8:15 p.m. at https://elections.lewiscountywa.gov. However, the county’s official certification of the results won’t happen till later this month on Aug. 19 at 9 a.m.
As the election nears, the auditor’s office asks residents to be patient while checking election results and reminds them that every county in Washington will be uploading election results to the Secretary of State's reporting site at the same time. The increased traffic can cause delays in how fast the results are posted. Those following along are encouraged to keep checking regularly to stay informed on the latest updates.
The Lewis County Elections Department is also available to residents with questions at 360-740-1278, or toll free within Lewis County at 1-800-562-6130.
The top two candidates in each primary race will move on to the general election in November.
