Assured Hospice, in partnership with Heritage House Morton Assisted Living and Memory Care, is launching a new Family Caregiver Support Group to provide guidance and community for those caring for a loved one.

The group will meet every second Monday of the month from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., beginning Monday Aug. 10 at Heritage House Morton Assisted Living and Memory Care, located at 860 W Main Ave., Morton.

Sessions will be supervised by Assured Hospice staff and will offer family caregivers a space to connect with others who understand the challenges and rewards of caregiving, according to a statement from Assured Hospice.

Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, gain practical insights and find comfort within a supportive community.

"Caring for a loved one can be both rewarding and overwhelming," said Matthew March with Assured Hospice. "This group is here to make sure family caregivers know they don't have to navigate that journey alone."

The Family Caregiver Support Group is free and open to the community. No registration is required.
