A $20,000 arrest warrant has been issued for a Centralia woman accused of chasing a woman with a knife in December 2021.

Eden Marie Anderson, 20, of Centralia, is facing one count of second-degree assault, domestic violence, after she allegedly threatened to hit a woman with her fist then followed her through the house with a 12- to 14-inch serrated kitchen knife during an argument on Dec. 9, according to court documents.

The alleged victim had told Anderson she was going to call the police after Anderson allegedly raised her fist as if she was going to hit her.

The victim told law enforcement she had fled to the bathroom of the residence they were in to get away from Anderson. When she got to the bathroom, she reportedly fell to the floor and saw Anderson right behind her. The victim stated she “put both arms over her head and told (Anderson) not to hit her,” and saw Anderson “standing over her with a knife in her right hand with the point towards the ground next to her,” according to court documents.

The victim stated “that when (Anderson) was standing over her with the knife, she feared she was going to be stabbed.”

Anderson was not at the residence in the 3200 block of Galvin Road when officers with the Centralia Police Department responded.

Anderson reportedly called the victim later that day and the victim provided officers with the phone number. Anderson reportedly answered the phone when an officer called her but “immediately hung up” when the officer identified himself, according to court documents. The alleged victim reported Anderson “said she was in Vancouver and that she was going to Canada,” according to court documents.

The Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against Anderson on April 14, 2022 and sent Anderson a summons notice for a May 3 preliminary hearing in Lewis County Superior Court.

Anderson failed to appear for that May 3 hearing, and Judge Joely O’Rourke subsequently issued a $20,000 bench warrant for her arrest.
