Arbor Health has been named a recipient of the Rural Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence from the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA), a news release announced. The association presented the award to Arbor Health during its Rural Hospital Leadership Conference in Chelan on June 28.
Arbor Health earned the gold award distinction, which is the achievement’s highest designation. Quality measures considered this year include fall prevention, sepsis and opioid harm prevention.
“Achieving excellence in quality is not one person’s job or one department’s responsibility; rather, it is a commitment by every team member in every area of our operations, 24/7 and every day of the year,” Arbor Health CEO Eric “Max” Neal, said in the release. “We are honored to be recognized for this achievement, which I believe reinforces how serious and steadfast we are about ensuring quality is the cornerstone of everything we do and stand for at Arbor Health.”
The Rural Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence is awarded to hospitals that demonstrate remarkable dedication to health care quality. To obtain the recognition, hospitals must participate in data submission through the Washington State Healthcare Authority’s Medicaid Quality Incentive Program, which is managed by WSHA.
“We are incredibly proud of our Rural Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence recipients,” WSHA Senior Vice President of Clinical Excellence Darcy Jaffe said in the release. “The Association and our hospital members take great pride in providing patients with outstanding care, as quality is the cornerstone of all health care. Everyone, no matter where they live in the state, should be able to access quality health care, and our members help make that possible.”
