The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will feature state Rep. Peter Abbarno, R-Centralia, at its April Forum.

The upcoming event is at 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, at The Station in Centralia, 120 S. Tower Ave. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for those wanting to order coffee and visit.

While the forum is open to the public, the Chamber encourages business owners and leaders to participate. Both members and non-members are welcome.

During the forum, Abbarno will highlight the good, bad and ugly of the 2024 legislative session.

According to Abbarno, wins during the session include a trio of initiatives to loosen vehicle pursuit restrictions, establish a parental “bill of rights” and prevent the state from implementing an income tax in the future.

According to Abbarno, the bad includes a bill that could link Washington’s carbon market to those in California and Quebec.

Abbarno wrote an article for April Business Connections, a monthly publication published by The Chamber of Commerce, which will be inserted into the April 11 edition of The Chronicle.
