The win streak is up to 14 for the Adna baseball team, which defeated Ilwaco 11-5 in a non-league contest in Adna on Monday.
The Fishermen came out of the gates strong with three runs in the top of the first, but the Pirates responded with three runs of their own in the bottom half and took the lead in the bottom of the second.
After a scoreless third, they added seven runs across the fourth, fifth, and sixth.
After Cameron Nakano pitched the first four and two-thirds on the mound, Jack Pennington pitched the final two and a third. He didn’t allow a hit and struck out four.
Cash Smith collected three hits and drove in three runs, while Owen Fagerness added three hits and an RBI of his own. Danner Hoinowski drove in two runs in his 2 for 4 outing.
Beau Miller and Mat Roundtree also drove in a run apiece.
Adna (14-0, 12-0 C2BL) will head to Pe Ell to face Pe Ell-Willapa Valley in another non-league contest on Thursday.
