The Adna girls basketball team finished a perfect league season and wrapped up a league title on Tuesday, defeating Morton-White Pass 73-43.
The Pirates got going early and never looked back, opening the game on a 24-0 run and taking a 27-2 lead after one. The offense continued to click throughout the second and third, as they added 40 points in those two frames to take a 67-28 lead after three.
Four Pirates hit double-figures, including three seniors. Karsyn Freeman led the way with 19 points, Gaby Guard added 14, and Danika Hallom scored 12. Sophomore McKenna Torrey also scored 12, while eighth grader Kamryn Freeman tallied six.
Ryelin Wiedenmann led the Timberwolves with 18 points, Kiera Miller scored eight, and Malia Armstrong logged six.
Adna (19-1, 8-0 C2BL) is now off until the district quarterfinals next Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Castle Rock. As the No. 7 seed, Morton-White Pass will take on the No. 3 seed from the P2BL on Saturday.
