The Oakville boys basketball team won its first league of the season on Monday, taking down the Washington School for the Deaf 71-29 at home.
The Acorns stormed out to a 14-point lead after one, and pushed the lead to 24 by halftime. It continued to grow throughout the second half before the running clock was started late in the game.
The Rodas brothers, Daniel and Gio, led the way. Daniel Rodas scored a game-high 28 points, while Gio Rodas added 16. Lewis Koser scored 10, while Lamont Roane and Jordan Eicherberger both added five.
Oakville (6-5, 1-3 1B CVL) will hit the road Tuesday to play at Three Rivers Christian.
