An Onalaska woman accused of stealing a substantial amount of mail in Lewis County pleaded not guilty to a third batch of charges in Lewis County Superior Court on Thursday.

The new charges — two counts each of second-degree identity theft and one count each of second-degree possession of stolen property, second-degree theft, third-degree theft and forgery — stem from allegations Amber K. Ingram, 40, stole a $225 paycheck out of a Centralia mailbox in September 2022 and stole an access device for a newly-opened bank account from a Mossyrock mailbox in January 2023.

Ingram was initially charged with 30 felonies in January related to over 315 individual pieces of stolen mail law enforcement found in Ingram’s vehicle, and 17 to 19 garbage bags full of stolen mail, as well as a box of stolen license plates with attached registration, in Ingram’s residence.

She was charged with 11 additional felonies in early March after she failed to appear for a mandatory court hearing on the first case and was found with stolen mail inside of her purse. She is also accused of hiding a baggie of suspected fentanyl pills in her bra that was discovered when she was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

Ingram is scheduled to face trial for a total of 47 felony charges on June 12.

Trial confirmation is scheduled for May 25.

Her combined bail between her three cases is $300,000.

About 30% of the recovered mail had been returned to its rightful owners as of Friday, March 31, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. An additional 20% of the recovered mail has been processed, with evidence staff in the process of coordinating with the victims to return the mail.

Lewis County residents who have recently had mail stolen are encouraged to contact the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at 360-748-9286 to be added to the victim’s list and help expedite the process of returning the stolen mail.
