75th anniversary announcement: Erle and Virginia Cooper of Toledo

Posted

Erle and Virginia (Donaldson) Cooper are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary on Aug. 21.

They were married in 1948 in Anchorage, Alaska, where Erle was in the Army. They later moved to Homer, Alaska, to raise their family.

With seven biological children, five adopted children, 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, Erle and Virginia continue to live a healthy, happy and passionately active life, involved in their current community of Toledo.

“Fun fact,” wrote their daughter, Donna Stavely. “When adding up their children, adopted children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, it makes one child for every married year.”
