2B Football: Toledo Shuts Out Wahkiakum

TOLEDO — Toledo ran for 340 yards and held the Mules to minus-10 yards on the ground in a 37-0 win here in a SWW 2B River Division football game here on Friday night.

Duke Schaplow ran for 113 yards and three scores and completed 5 of 14 passes for 152 yards. Jacob Marley ran for 84 yards and a score on four carries and Davin Kinsman added 46 yards on nine carries. Carlo Arceo-Hansen tallied 63 yards and a score on 12 carries.

Jesse Towns caught one pass for 27 yards.



Toledo had 370 yards of total offense compared to just 20 yards for the Mules.

“I think we played well. It took us a while to get going,” Toledo coach Mike Christensen said. “Once we got going, we played pretty good. It was a good defensive effort. I’m happy with the way they played, especially Mateo Chavez-Vodjansky at inside linebacker.”

Toledo (4-3, 2-1) heads to Egg Town to take on the Cardinals next Friday.
