Seven Centralia Tiger wrestlers, six boys and one girl, went undefeated at a mix-and-match meet against Rochester and Tumwater at home on Tuesday.
Analeese McCallister went 2-0 in the 140-pound division to lead the girls team.
On the boys side, Antonio Campos won all three of his matches in the 120-pound weight class to lead the Tigers.
Evan Kunkle (170 pounds), Kyuss Mano (195 pounds) and Jonathan Wilkerson (220 pounds) each finished 2-0 in their respective weight classes.
Jamal Waterman (126 pounds) and Sawyer Kassel (170) each won one match in their respective weight classes.
“Overall, we competed well as a team,” Centralia coach Scott Phillips said. “We were proud of them as coaches.”
The Tigers had just six total practices leading up to this season-opening match for a shortened season that ends on May 31. In the mix-and-match format, no team scores are tallied.
“We’re trying to go mix-and-match to get the kids as many matches as possible and get them set up for next year,” Phillips said.
Centralia will head to Tumwater on Saturday for its next match.
