Authorities say a Kelso driver making a right turn from the left turn lane caused a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Lexington.

Hannah R. Twidwell, 30, was headed south on West Side Highway in her Hyundai Sonata around 3:47 p.m. when she made a right turn from the left lane, hitting a Honda Civic with five Kelso residents headed the same way, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo.

The struck vehicle included a 2-month-old, a 4-month-old and three adults: Driver Colton R. Collins, 23; and passengers Christopher Buck, 39, and Madeline B. Harvat, 19.

The 2-month-old was injured and sent to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, the press memo states.

The Sonata was totaled, while the Civic had reportable damage.

Washington State Patrol lists the cause of the accident as an improper turn.
