An 18-year-old Longview woman pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Cowlitz County Superior Court to rape charges for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a teenager.
Emma Lynn Hirschel faces five criminal charges, including rape, possessing depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, sexual exploitation of a minor, and communication with a minor for immoral purposes, court records show.
Hirschel, who was arrested on Aug. 8, was appointed a public defender, and had bail set at $2,500 on Aug. 11.
The police report that led to her arrest states Hirschel told others about the relationship that occurred when the youth was 13 and 14 years old, during which Hirschel was 18.
After obtaining a search warrant and gaining access to Hirschel's Apple iCloud account, authorities accessed messages between the victim and the accused about wanting to have sex, the report continues.
Her next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3.
