129698 Notice to Bidders NOTICE TO BIDDERS CITY OF CENTRALIA WWTP DEWATERING SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS Sealed bids for the above project will be received from Contractors by the City Clerk of the City of Centralia, 118 W. Maple Street (P.O. Box 609), Centralia, Washington 98531, until 10:00 a.m., May 02, 2024, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work to be performed under these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all labor, material, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for construction of the WWTP Screw Press Dewatering Project. Work will include removal of the existing belt press system, installation of the owner-provided screw press system, mechanical process equipment and piping systems, electrical and instrumentation, and other work in accordance with the contract provisions, contract drawings and applicable codes and regulations. The project is located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1101 Goodrich Road in Centralia, Washington. The City of Centralia hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Centralia encourages contracting procedures that provide M/WBEs equal opportunity to participate as subcontractor on City contracts. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by cash, bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Centralia, in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total bid.
