Verna Thode, Chehalis, will be celebrating her 90th birthday 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Napavine Assembly of God Church, 414 Second Ave. NE.
The birthday celebration will be a potluck.
Thode was born Jan. 6, 1929, to John and Grace Jensen in Onalaska. She attended Onalaska, Napavine and Big Hanaford schools. Her husband, Lester Thode, died in 2014.
She is a member of the Napavine Assembly of God. She has been active with the Jesus film project with Campus Crusade for Christ and the Silver Sneakers.
Her children and spouses are Roger (Lila) Thode, Chehalis; James (Nancy) Thode, Onalaska; Robert (Martha) Thode, Onalaska; and Carol (Peter) Bezy, Chehalis and Sandpoint, Idaho.
She has nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
