W.F. West Sophomore Chosen for All State Symphonic Choir
Taylor Gonia, a sophomore at W.F. West High School, Chehalis, was recently chosen for the 2016 Washington Music Educators Association All State Symphonic Choir.
Last month, she studied and performed in Yakima with the other All State musicians from Washington.
These students were chosen through a selective auditioning process through the WMEA.
Gonia is also a member of the W.F. West theater department and has played the role of Audrey 2 in “The Little Shop of Horrors” and Morticia in “The Addams Family Musical.”
Most recently Gonia has competed at the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and took second place in 3A High School 1 Classical Women’s Alto category at the University of Puget Sound. She will be competing at state in April.
