Candace Merrill and Lance Maier, Toledo, have announced plans to be married in a private ceremony in August.

Merrill is a 1994 graduate of Pe Ell High School. She graduated from St. Martin’s College in 1997 with a bachelor of arts degree, and received a master of science degree from Walden University in 2006. She is a teacher at Castle Rock Elementary.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Chelsey and Barbara Merrill, Pe Ell.

Maier graduated from Toledo High School in 1988, and received an AA degree from Lower Columbia College in 1992. He also graduated from Reserve Police Academy in 1994. He is retired.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jeffrey and Kathleen Oberg, Toledo, and Michael and Kelly Maier, Boise, Idaho.

Jessica Passmore and Joshua Larson

Jessica Passmore and Joshua Larson, Winlock, have announced plans to be married Sept. 1 at the Hope Grange, on Antrim Road in Winlock.

Passmore is a graduate of Live Oaks High School, Redding, Calif. She is a waitress at the Firehouse Restaurant, Winlock. Her parents are James Passmore, Oklahoma, and Debra Parscal, Rodeo, Calif.

Larson is a graduate of Toledo High School. He works as a restaurant chef. His parents are Keith and Sandra Rogers, Shelton.



The couple have two children, JJ Larson, 6, and Jaydon Larson, 1.

Michelle Fredricks and James Henricksen

Michelle Fredricks and James Henricksen, South Prairie, have announced plans to be married 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Mineral Lake Lodge.

A reception will be held at 7:30 p.m. at 126 Pinkerton Road, Ethel.

Michelle graduated from Lincoln High School, Tacoma. She is employed as a medical referral coordinator and specialty scheduler. Her parents are Wayne Fredricks, Longview, and Rosemarie Smith, Tulalip.

Henricksen is a 2003 graduate of Onalaska High School. He is currently a site manager with Roadlink. His parents are Brian Henricksen Glide, Ore., and Liz Hill, Ethel.

Chelsea Fisher and Jamee Thurlow

Chelsea Fisher and Jamee Thurlow, Portland, have announced plans to be married at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Heritage Park Event and Retreat Center, Ariel.

Fisher is entering her senior year at Multnomah University, Portland, majoring in Bible, theology and psychology. Her parents are Jeff Fisher and Barbie Fisher, both of Winlock.

Thurlow is a 2011 graduate of Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colo., with a mechanical engineering degree. He is a special vehicles engineer at Daimler Trucks North America in Portland. He is the son of Gerard and Cori Thurlow, Winlock, and Lorinne and Keith Birdwell, Toledo.
