David and Marilyn (Ulrikson) Fenn will celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house party at 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at 345 Ceres Hill Road in Curtis.
The Fenns were married on June 22, 1969 in Edgewood, Washington. David Fenn was born in Lewis County, and the couple came back to the area in 1975. They met at Pacific Lutheran University.
David Fenn was a teacher until 1975 when they moved to the farm where they currently live in Curtis — near the farm he was raised on. Marilyn Fenn was a home health nurse and later worked as a school nurse in the Chehalis School District.
They are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoy traveling and volunteering. David Fenn also enjoys hunting and fishing.
They had three children: Katherine (Jason) Humphrey, of Curtis, Carl Fenn (deceased) and Kristina (Jacob) Swanson, of Elmira, New York.
They have six grandchildren.
