The Tumwater baseball team got rolling and never looked back in a dominant win over Centralia on Tuesday, as the Thunderbirds won 27-2.

Runs came across early and often for the T-Birds (4-2, 3-0 2A EvCo), who plated nine in the first, six in the second, five in the third, and seven in the fourth.

They drew 14 walks while only striking out three times, and they tallied 13 base hits. Eddie Marson and Braeden Konrad recorded two hits each, as Marson hit two doubles and drove in three while Konrad scored twice and drove in another.

Charlie Crawford and Will Bond drove in a pair each and also crossed home plate twice.

Liam Karlson shut down the Tigers (2-3, 1-2 2A EvCo) on the bump, as the senior retired all nine batters he faced in his three innings of work. Konrad and Marson each pitched an inning in relief, with Konrad allowing both runs and Marson walking and striking out two.

Landen Jenkins was the lone bright spot on a rough day for Centralia, as he went 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI triple.

The two teams are right back at it against each other on Wednesday at Fort Borst Park for the final of their two-game set.
