When current Tenino Mayor Wayne Fournier announced his bid for the newly created Thurston County Commissioner district 4 position earlier this year, it opened the door for a new mayor to take his place.
Preliminary election results were released by the Thurston County Auditor's Office on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.
Two long-time Tenino residents faced off for the mayor’s position, Linda Gotovac and Dave Watterson.
Currently, Gotovac and Watterson are tied, with both candidates getting 131 votes.
County certification of Washington State general election results will take place on Nov. 28.
