Mineral Lake Lions Campground Closed With Plans to Reopen Spring 2022

The Mineral Lake Lions Club has closed its lakeside campground, the Lions Den Campground, for the season following a string of vandalism in recent years. The club plans to “refurbish and improve” the campground and reopen it next spring.

“Over the past few years, undesirable and illegal behavior of a few campers has required the Mineral Lake Lions Club to halt operations of the campground as of Sept. 19, 2021,” read a recent letter from the group.

Additional changes to the campground will be communicated to recreationalists as they’re implemented, the letter read. The campground has been owned and operated by the Lions Club since its purchase from Sierra Pacific in 2017.
