Francisco Prater, 24, the Edmonds man who rapped under the stage name “Cisco Go Crazy,” was sentenced to six months in jail and one year of community custody Wednesday following his conviction of third-degree rape in September.
The afternoon ruling came from Lewis County Superior Court Judge Joely Yeager in Lewis County Superior Court. Prater was booked into the Lewis County Jail shortly thereafter.
Yeager also entered a five-year no-contact order on behalf of the victim, per the state’s recommendation.
Prater was previously charged in April 2021 with second-degree rape for allegedly having sex with a woman incapable of consenting due to intoxication. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of third-degree rape on Sept. 17.
Prater faced up to five years in prison and $10,000 in fines for the Class C felony. Prosecutors recommended six months in jail and 12 months of community custody as part of his plea.
According to court documents, the standard sentencing range for similar offenses is six to 12 months.
Prater declined to make a statement in his written guilty plea, essentially agreeing that the judge might review police reports or the probable cause statement to “establish a factual basis for the plea,” according to court documents.
The incident that led to the rape charge occurred at a party in Randle on Jan. 6, 2020. Two other defendants were charged in the case, Lathan Moses Echols and Joshua Darrow, who also perform as rappers under the names Lil Mosey and Bandkidjay.
Echols’ and Darrow’s cases were separated from Prater’s in February of 2023. Both men were acquitted by a jury in Lewis County that March after about seven hours of deliberation, as reported by The Chronicle.
Echols, 23, currently has over 5.5 million monthly Spotify listeners.
