The Onalaska girls soccer team dominated the proceedings Wednesday in Forks, but needed a bit of magic from Jaycee Talley to get on the scoreboard in a 1-0 win over the Spartans to wrap up the regular season.
After a scoreless first half, Talley broke the deadlock by herself on a corner kick, curling the ball around the post, past the keeper, and directly into the net.
That capped an otherwise one-sided match for the Loggers (10-5-0, 8-2-0 C2BL), who outshot their hosts 15-1.
Hailee Brown came up the one save she needed to make in net to keep the shutout; Kate Zandell led the defense with 13 interceptions.
The win seals the Loggers into third place in the C2BL standings; they’ll host a first-round matchup at the 2B District 4 tournament Monday.
