The Economic Alliance of Lewis County held its second annual Women in Business Seminar in Chehalis on Tuesday, inviting working women and their supporters to learn from the experiences of notable professional women in the community.

The event, held at The Loft, featured a panel of four speakers from local business ventures — Joy Templeton of Once Upon a Thyme, Heidi Pehl of I-5 Cars, Mary Ferris of Rainier Eye and Lisa Perry of Sierra Pacific  — who answered questions from Centralia Mayor Kelly Smith Johnston on a variety of business topics.

House Republican Senior Leadership Counsel Cathy Hoover gave the keynote address, offering advice on how to achieve a work-life balance.

The seminar was sponsored by The Silver Agency, Sorenson Transport Co. Inc. and the Paula Burrows Team.
