Hash: Centralia to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants

Centralia restaurant Hash will host a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in early April 2024, according to a news release from the show.

America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on April 1.

Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Dean and Lisa Damitio about the restaurant’s special place in the community.

The episode will be aired on social media channels at a later date.

“After the resounding success of their Hash location in Olympia, the Damitios opened the Centralia location in early 2023 after extensive renovation of the space,” ABR stated in the release. “The small eatery has a retro diner vibe with globe lighting, 1950s-esque logo and many large windows surrounding the dining area.”

While the menu offers burgers, sandwiches, salads and the like for the lunch rush, its claim to fame is breakfast.

“Not surprisingly, various iterations of hash are available, including the requisite corned beef but also smoked salmon and basil, Southwest tofu and cheese curd and brisket,” ABR stated. “Other breakfast options include Benedicts, omelets, pancakes and waffles, and loco moco, a Hawaiian dish of sticky rice, eggs, meat and gravy.”

The Damitios also own Westside Tavern in Olympia.

America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location in Centralia from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, April 1.

The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on its Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website at https://americasbestrestaurants.com/rests/washington/hash-centralia
