Officials have released the identities of the five people killed at a rural property near Forest Grove on Saturday.
The victims of the quintuple homicide are Mary Elizabeth Kimsey of Portland, 85; Rowan Karla Kimsey of Forest Grove, 60; Stella Jade Kimsey of Forest Grove, 26; Linsey Mae Haraldsen of Portland, 26; and Alvin Raymond Chu of Portland, 27, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Stella Kimsey was the partner of Benjamin C. Parker, 36, the suspect in the case who was found dead by suicide yesterday in Washington state. Rowan Kimsey was their mother and Mary Kimsey was their grandmother, a press release from the sheriff’s office said.
Haraldson was Stella Kimsey’s best friend, and Chu was Haraldson’s partner.
Rowan Kimsey owned and lived at the 47350 Northwest Otis Lane property where the bodies were found. Stella Kimsey and Parker also lived there, officials said.
Officials said Monday that two cats and two dogs also were found dead on the property, and another cat was later euthanized at the vet due to its injuries. All livestock at the property have since been rehomed.
At a Sunday afternoon press conference, officials from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said they learned of the “quintuple homicide” at 47350 NW Otis Lane around 5:30 a.m. Saturday after firefighters were called to a burning car there.
But when fire crews arrived, they discovered the remains of the five people and called sheriff’s deputies to the scene. Police said the killings were not a random act.
On Sunday, Devin Allys, 27, said they received a call from a Washington County sheriff’s detective about 10:30 a.m., telling them there was concern about their ex-partner Stella Kimsey, whom they had dated for just over four years.
The detective asked Allys who lived on the Otis Lane property, what kind of cars were there, if Stella Kimsey worked, how long ago they lived there and the names of Stella’s mother and grandmother, Allys said.
Allys broke up with Stella Kimsey about three years ago, they said, and had lived in the main house on the property with them.
Allys said there’s a long gravel driveway to the approximately 14-acre property with a main house, where they had lived with Stella, and a cabin down the hill from it, where Stella’s mother had lived. Stella Kimsey’s father had died several years ago, they said.
There were sheep, chickens and goats on the property when they lived there, according to Allys.
After the detective’s call, Allys said they tried to reach Stella’s grandmother and mother but wasn’t able to reach either.
