Next weekend, on Saturday, April 6, Centralia’s American Legion Grant Hodge Post 17 will host a concert featuring Chris Guenther and the Honky Tonk Drifters, beginning at 7 p.m.

This concert is open to the public as a membership drive, Grant Hodge Post 17 Commander Robert “Bob” Clark said in an email to The Chronicle. Grant Hodge Post 17 is located at 111 W. Main St. in downtown Centralia.

Then, on Saturday, April 27, Grant Hodge Post 17 will host the local Cub Scouts’ “Veterans vs. Cubs” Pinewood Derby competition, with races starting at 9 a.m.



Also on April 27, Grant Hodge Post 17 will hold its annual Past Post Commanders and Past Auxiliary Unit Presidents’ Dinner.

Among those invited to attend are Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza, Centralia Police Chief Stacy Denham, Miss Lewis County 2024 Katelynn Guenther and a local contestant from the Washington State American Legion Oratorical Contest. A time for the dinner has yet to be announced.
