Wednesday's Girls Tennis: Tenino Defeats Centralia on Games

Centralia and Tenino each won three matches, each won seven sets, but the Beavers were able to prevail on games 68-62 to earn a win in a non-league girls tennis match in Centralia on Wednesday.

Centralia’s Brynna Rooklidge defeated Courtney Dodge in the top singles match, 6-3, 6-3. Tenino’s Grace Vestal won in the No. 2 spot over Danika Jensen in a close three set match, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6. Shannon Johnson won in the No. 3 spot for the Tigers over Leann Bubnick, 6-4, 6-4.



In doubles, Kaylee Schow and Ally Vestal won in the top doubles match over Maddie Corwin and Maya O’Dell, 6-0, 6-0. Tenino’s Rhian Mathis and Maddi Hohner defeated Liza Hopkins and Olivia Wiley, 6-3, 6-4. Centralia’s Evie Rooklidge and Serina Stehr took down Megan Letts and Isabel Zamud in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Centralia (0-2) travels to Olympia on Monday to take on Capital in a non-league contest. Tenino (3-0) hosts Cascade Christian on Friday in a non-league match.
