W.F. West managed to put Aberdeen away in straight sets in Chehalis on Tuesday. The Bearcats won those sets by scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-16 to claim the victory in 2A Evergreen Conference volleyball play.
“We worked a lot on our blocking, which was good, and I was able to get a lot of different looks with different lineups,” said W.F. West coach Emily Mora. “I was really proud that they all had a strong mindset throughout the matches.”
Paytton Crawford passed out 23 assists in the win while Mak Moore and Megan Pallas totalled 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Ashlyn Walen added 19 serves for 2 aces for the Bearcats.
W.F. West (9-2, 5-2 league) will play at Black Hills on Thursday.
Tumwater Sweeps Rochester
ROCHESTER — Rochester fought hard against Tumwater here on Tuesday, but the Warriors fell 3-0 in an Evergreen 2A Conference volleyball match.
Tumwater won with set scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-12.
Rochester’s Emily Morris had three aces and recorded six points in a row in the second set. Paige Winter added three kills and a stuff block.
Rochester (6-6, 2-5) travels Centralia to take on the Tigers on Thursday in an EvCo match.

Onalaska Comes From Behind to Top Napavine
ONALASKA — The Lady Loggers were down 2-0 to Napavine here on Tuesday, but Onalaska dug deep and won the next three sets for a 3-2 win in a Central 2B League volleyball match.
Napavine won the first two sets with scores of 25-19 and 26-24. Onalaska switched up their defense in the third set and it worked, taking the third set 25-20. Napavine led 20-15 in the fourth set but the Lady Loggers went on an 11-4 run and prevailed 26-24 and force a fifth set.
Onalaska won set five, 15-12.
Eryn Duryea had 27 kills, 40 digs and served 16 of 16. Carmen Cleveland-Barrera had seven blocks, four kills and served 19 of 19 and Dakotah Fuller added nine blocks and four kills.
Onalaska’s Sophia Leal tallied 38 digs, Olivia Mitten added 18 digs and eight kills and Kaylyna Deck also had 18 digs with 19 assists. Raelee Holmes served 12 of 12 and Kayla Osborne totaled 21 assists.
“I thought we played really well tonight. I thought it was a team effort,” Onalaska coach Terri Dalsted said. “The girls responded well with the change and persevered. The intensity and grit that we’ve been working on really came through tonight. They just never gave up.”
Napavine’s Olivia Woodrum had 12 assists and Olivia Alegria served 100 percent with 21 digs. Vannie Fagerness tallied 13 digs, Madison Doughty totaled seven kills and Haily Murray added 12 kills for the Tigers.
The Tigers hit the ball into the net nine times and made 14 errors against Onalaska.
“We definitely didn’t play our game. We came out with no energy, no communication. It was frustrating,” Napavine coach Monica Dailey said. “I could tell in warmups things were not going to be that great. We shot ourselves in the foot. We had our opportunities. They gave it to us, we were slow on coverage tonight. It was definitely not our best night.”
Onalaska (5-6, 4-3) travels to face Toledo on Thursday while Napavine (9-3, 5-3) hosts Morton-White Pass on Thursday in a C2BL contest.
T-Wolves Take Down Winlock
MORTON – The Timberwolves were able to dispatch Winlock in three sets here on Tuesday in Central 2B League volleyball action. Morton-White Pass took the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and then wrapped up the win with a 25-6 victory in the third and final set.
Carly King dished 22 assists and tallied four kills and six aces for MWP. Jacie Dunlap, Katie Salguero, and Taylor Nilius all added seven kills, and Nilius added five aces. Belen Salguero and Shaylee Peters each contributed six kills to the T-Wolves winning effort.
MWP coach Tammy Kelly said she was happy with the way her team came out and took care of business.
“That was one of our goals was staying focused and just getting things done, and they did that,” Kelly said.
MWP (7-4, 4-3 league) will play at Napavine on Thursday.
Pe Ell Falls to Willapa Valley
PE ELL – Willapa Valley was too much for the Trojans here on Tuesday, earning a 3-0 sweep in a Pacific 2B League volleyball match.
Willapa Valley won with set scores of 25-7, 25-14 and 25-16.
Pe Ell’s Ellie Little, Presley Peterson, Katie Davis and Sadie Howard all served 100 percent.
“We just struggled to put anything together today,” Pe Ell coach Karie Cleveland said. “It was a bit of a rough day for us.”
Pe Ell (3-8, 2-4) hits the road to face Ilwaco on Thursday in a P2BL match.
Adna Takes Down Toledo in Five
ADNA — Adna rebounded after dropping a 2-0 lead against Toledo to win the fifth set and earn a 3-2 win in a Central 2B League volleyball match here on Tuesday.
The Pirates took the first two sets with the set score of 25-14. Toledo bounced back and won the next two sets with scores of 25-18 and 25-19. The Pirates were down 14-12 in the fifth set, but some good defense by Anna Jones and quality serving by Haley Rainey helped bring Adna back to win the set 16-14.
Adison Stewart had 11 kills and five blocks and Haley Rainey added four aces and five blocks. Sarah Hoven tallied 11 kills and Ruby Bower tallied 15 assists for the Pirates.
“I think we played pretty good the first two sets. I thought we were on a swing and were taking that step and gelling. The third and fourth, we let up and they have some consistent servers. We couldn’t adjust to them quick enough,” Adna coach Wendie Dotson said. “They needed that win, it was very important for this team because they’re fighting for every win we can get right now. I thought they ended the game good.”
Adna (2-9, 2-5) travels to face Mossyrock on Thursday while Toledo (3-9, 1-7) hosts Onalaska on Thursday in a C2BL match.
