Thursday's Cross Country: Onalaska’s Wright, Mossyrock’s Lovan Win at Rainier Invitational

RAINIER — Onalaska’s Zachary Wright won at the 6-team Rainier Invitational cross country meet here on Thursday.

Wright completed the race in 18:04.41, more than 40 seconds clear of second place Ryan Doidge of Rainier.

Mossyrock won the team title, with James Cushman leading the way in third with a time of 18:58.34 and Gunner Mulligan placed fifth with a time of 19:45.73.

Napavine’s Caleb Perz Stewart (20:08) finished sixth and Mossyrock’s Charlie Paz-Tapia (20:22) placed seventh, Micah Voelker (20:42) finished eighth and Kainen Zavodsky (21:13) placed 10th.



Eddie Franco (21:14) and Matteo Mendoza (21:28) placed 11th and 12th for the Vikings respectively and Onalaska’s Devon Wright (22:08) placed 14th. Mossyrock’s Gus Stucki (22:09) finished in 15th and Napavine’s Garrett Rushton (22:14) earned 16th place.

On the girls side, Lovan won with a time of 21:09.77. Onalaska’s Renate Prazak finished seventh with a time of 23:40. Napavine’s Kayla Bornstien placed 14th with a time of 29:22.

Mossyrock, Napavine and Onalaska race next at a Central 2B League meet in Kalama on Tuesday.
