WASHOUGAL — W.F. West’s Kate Balmelli shot a 103 on Thursday to qualify for state after two rounds in the District 4 2A girls golf tournament at Orchard Hills Golf Course on Thursday.
Balmelli finished in a tie for 11th to earn a berth into the state tournament at Horn Rapids Golf Course in Richland on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Washougal’s Kallie Sakamoto won the tournament, shooting 74 on day two for a total of 148.
W.F. West’s Elizabeth Twining carded a 120 on Thursday and Rochester’s Allison Beagley finished with a 122 in the second round.
