I knew in the first 30 seconds, this game was going to be different. They fought really hard, that was the first goal that we’ve scored on Adna in a couple years. We played tough the whole game, I’m quite proud of them.”

McCarthy noted the Tigers moved Stewart to outside midfield, where she excelled making runs up the line. She also commended goalkeeper Orozco, coming a long way since the start of the season and continuing to get better each game.

Adna coach Juli Aselton echoed the praise for Orozco in net for the Tigers.

“Adna had a lot of great wall passing tonight. I felt like we switched the field well finding the open players,” coach Aselton said. “Props to Napavine’s goalkeeper. She made some good saves tonight.”
