MOORHEAD, Minn. — Former Rochester Warrior Lucas Eastman was a long ways from Grand Mound, but the results by the two-time state champion were the same as the 157-pound wrestler went 4-0 en route to winning his weight class bracket at the 2015 Finn Grinaker Open here on Saturday.

Eastman, wrestling for South Dakota State University as a freshman, won the individual title with two first-round pins, two major decisions and a medical forfeit. Eastman pinned Northland Community College’s Tanner Schreifels in 2:02 and Minnesota’s Jonathan Hoffner in 2:51.

In all, four SDSU freshmen won individual titles at the tournament, which was hosted by Concordia College.

Eastman won state titles at 152 pounds and 160 pounds at Rochester, and also finished as a state runner-up. He set a school record for the Warriors with 151 career wins including three 40-win seasons. Eastman was 42-0 as a junior and 45-2 his senior year. He also has the single-season school record for pins (31), near falls (59) and takedowns (157).
