College Golf: Local Athletes Shine at NWAC Championships

Lewis County athletes had a strong showing at the NWAC Golf Championships on Sunday and Monday.

Grays Harbor’s Joe Blaser, a graduate of Centralia, shot a two day total of 149 (+5) to finish in a tie for 11th at Apple Valley Golf Resort in Yakima. Blaser shot a 3-over 75 on the second day after a 2-over 74 on the first day.



Spokane’s Will Alexander, a 2017 W.F. West graduate, had a two day total of 153 (+9) to finish in a tie for 21st. After a first round 1-under 71, Alexander shot an 82 (+10) on the second day.

Centralia’s Carly Noble, a 2017 W.F. West graduate, shot a 96 on day two for a total of 182 to finish in 26th place. Noble shot an 86 on Day 1.
