2B Football: Winlock Falls to Kalama

KALAMA — The Cardinals couldn’t get their offense going and Kalama took full advantage in a 59-0 loss in a SWW 2B River Division football game here on Friday.

Bryce Cline was 6-of-18 passing for 83 yards and four interceptions. He also led the team in rushing with 39 yards on 14 carries. Coleson Richendollar caught one pass for 30 yards and Nolan Swofford caught one pass for 37 yards.

Kalama’s Jackson Esary was 10-of-15 passing for 209 yards and three touchdowns and also had two rushing touchdowns. Bradey O’Neil had two carries for 68 yards and a score and Max Cox caught three passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

Winlock managed just 190 yards of total offense while Kalama had 367 yards.



The Chinooks scored 16 points in the first quarter, with Esary completing a touchdown pass to Cox and O’Neil rattling off a 65-yard scoring run. O’Neil then returned an interception 24 yards for a score.

Esary had a part in the next four touchdowns, with two through the air and two on the ground. Alex LaBoa completed the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run.

Winlock (3-2, 0-1) hosts Mossyrock next Friday in a River Division battle.
