ONALASKA — Onalaska scored 48 points in the first quarter and never looked back to earn a 72-0 win against Morton-White Pass in a SWW 2B Mountain Division football game here on Friday.

Ashton Haight had nine carries for 128 yards and three touchdowns and Cade Lawrence had two carries for 36 yards and two scores. Dyllon Dublin had seven carries for 84 yards, Marshal Haight had four carries for 51 yards and Gunnar Talley recorded three carries for 23 yards and two touchdowns.

Lucas Kreger completed one pass for 18 yards and a score and Lawrence caught that pass for the touchdown.

Not only did Lawrence get it done on offense, he had three interceptions on defense and returned one for a touchdown. Onalaska allowed just 25 yards of total offense.

“Our guys played great. They set the tone early, they put 64 up at the half. I thought they played real well,” Onalaska coach Mazen Saade said. “I’m impressed with how our starters played. Cade (Lawrence) had a heck of a night. The line played well offensively up front. The true story is our defense, defense played real well tonight. It was awesome to see the young guys get to play and with their backs against the wall, they wanted to preserve the shutout and they did.”

Saade noted freshman Juan Ibarra and Aidan Readman for their play on defense to hold MWP out of the end zone.

Ashton Haight started the scoring with touchdown runs of 25 and five yards. Cade Lawrence carried the next two touchdowns, both 18-yard runs. Kreger completed an 18-yard pass to Lawrence and then Lawrence returned an interception 40 yards for another score.

Ashton Haight had his hat trick touchdown on a 25-yard run and Gunnar Talley ran in the final two scores from one and 13 yards out.

Onalaska (5-0, 1-0) travels to Rainier on Friday for another Mountain Division contest.
