OCEAN PARK — Logan Boone shot a 49 to pace the Pirate boys golfers in a three-team match against Life Christian Academy and Ilwaco here at Surfside Golf Course on Thursday.
Life Christian’s Nick Friend earned medalist honors with a 39, and LCA won the team scoring with a 174.
Ethan Ross shot a 52 for Adna, with Isaac Stevens carding a 64, Alex Wickert shooting a 65 and Hayden Wolf firing a 75.
“What a challenging night for the players with a chilly wind steady at 20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph,” Adna coach Alan Browning said. “Logan and Ethan competed quite well, given the obstacles. But I also have to give appreciation to our entire team for their willingness to learn this game in some tough environments.”
Adna will hit the road for Raymond on Monday to play Willapa Harbor Golf Course against the Willapa Harbor schools — Willapa Valley, Raymond and South Bend — and Wahkiakum.
