Morton Catches Fire, Tops Three Rivers Christian 72-55

    KELSO — Down 15-8 after one quarter with Three Rivers Christian, Morton shot 12 of 17 — with six 3-pointers — for 30 points in the second to jump ahead of the Eagles and win 72-55 here Thursday in Columbia Valley League play.

    “We started off extremely slow, missing some easy shots,” Husky coach Josh Brooks said. “We picked up the full court press in the second quarter and forced some turnovers.”

    Jesse Osborne and Kody Crowder both tallied double doubles. Osborne had 24 points and 11 boards, while Crowder had 13 and 11.



    Brooks commended the play of Kalen Dunlap, who scored 15 with eight assists.

    Morton (14-5, 8-3 league) host Vancouver Christian Tuesday.
