Prep Track: Tiger Girls Tough at Track Friends Opener

    TUMWATER — Centralia’s girls recorded 18 top-three finishes at the Track Friends Opener here Friday afternoon, including sweeping the sprint and distance medley relay races.

    On the boys side, Jason Aldrich came in second in the 400 meters, Jordan Cowin took second in the shot put, Joseph Rush took second in the javelin and Sydney Snyder was second in the long jump.

    Winners for the girls were Mykala Anglin (1 minute, 7.9 seconds in the 400) and Elizabeth Wilson (84 feet, 9.5 inches in the javelin). Deliah McCormick took second in the 100, Kirsten Fahnholz was second in the 400, and Morgan Ashmore took second in the 100 hurdle race.



    Miriam Ash and Caroline Boswell came in second in the high jump and long jump, respectively.

    Centralia runs at the Longview Rotary Relays today, starting at 10:30 a.m.
