United Booters Bounce Past Beavers

    WINLOCK — United’s Enrique Ramirez scored a goal in the 31st minute off a set piece to give Toledo-Winlock a 2-1 advantage that stood throughout the remainder of the SWW 1A League Evergreen Division soccer contest here Monday.

    “It was a great start to the season,” United coach Hugo Molina said. “We’re excited for what’s ahead.”

    Arnie Yoder got United on the board in the 23rd, before Tenino’s Brian Bender caught the back of the net in the 27th.



    Toledo-Winlock had 15 shots on goal to Tenino’s seven.

    Toledo-Winlock (1-0) plays at Rochester Thursday, while Tenino (0-1) hosts Montesano on the same day.
