LACEY — Centralia’s wrestlers picked up eight pins here Wednesday night to put away North Thurston, 65-6, and stay undefeated in Evergreen 2A Conference action.

Preston Churchill (152 lbs.), Connor Knudsvig (171), Justin Gillaspie (215), Isabella Silva-Pires (103), Kyle Shaw (119), Chris Lazo (125), Jesse Gonzalez (130) and Kellen Pelzel (140) all recorded pins for Centralia, with Knudsvig earning Tiger of the Match honors.

“He’s looked really solid lately,” Centralia coach Scott Phillips said. “He kind of put together an offense and started looking really good, and he just went out there tonight and dominated the kid.”

Cole Riccardo won via technical fall at 145 for the Tigers’ other win of the night.

Centralia (5-0 league) now hosts rival W.F. West (4-1 league) tonight with the league title on the line.
