ROCHESTER — Rochester got a big pin from Jacob Paris but fell 71-12 to Elma in Division 2A/1A League wrestling action here on Wednesday. The Eagles recorded just three pins but got eight forfeits in the victory.
Paris, at 120 pounds, was able to pin Elma’s Mario Yanez, ranked No. 8 in the 1A classification. The Warriors also honored lone senior Gabe Vazquez for senior night.
Rochester will now wrestle at W.F. West on Feb. 7 in the 2A sub-regional tournament.
