I’m so fed up with the scam phone calls. Nearly 50 billion scam robocalls were placed last year with the purpose of tricking and bilking innocent people. So I’m thankful that our Congresswoman, Jaime Herrera Beutler, took action by helping lead the TRACED Act into becoming law. This new law will implement a nationwide caller authentication system to verify the number on the caller ID is legitimate. It would also give law enforcement and the Federal Communications Commission the tools and resources needed to go after these lawbreaking robocallers. Thank you, Jaime, for tackling real issues and getting results.
