As a third-year college student, I don’t pretend to understand all the ins and outs of how levies and funding work at school districts.

What I do know is that levies help supports extra curricular activities, and it was those activities while I was at Centralia High School from 2014-2017 that led me to Washington State University, where I am currently a junior on my way to a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.

It’s that reason my family and I are supporting Citizens for Centralia Schools and the current levy proposal.

During my time at CHS, I was able to participate in student government, sports medicine, orchestra, and played multiple sports ... among other things while still taking running start courses at Centralia College. I was always proud to represent my community on the field, in the classroom, serving on the City of Centralia Parks Board, and volunteering throughout the area. It was during these activities that I found my passion of wanting to help others while being a part of a team, and I developed my goal of becoming an Athletic Trainer.

I know how important extracurricular activities that are funded by levy dollars are to so many students, and I encourage you to consider that when making your vote.

From one Tiger for Life, please join me in support of the Centralia High School levy ... go Tigers and, of course, Go Cougs.
