Letter to the Editor: Boosters Say Thanks for Success on Hunter & Hayden Night

Posted

There are so many people to thank for the success and extraordinary outcome of the Hunter & Hayden Night Friday.

Hunter and Hayden’s father, Randy Lester, recently lost his life in a tragic shooting.

It is impossible to thank everyone but we are so grateful to everyone who donated to the silent auction, purchased silent auction items, participated in the dunking of a firefighter or law enforcement officer, had their face painted, bought hamburgers or participated in the walkathon, Thanks also to Emy Dryer, who designed our awesome flyers, and all those people who just wrote a check.

The Napavine Booster Club would like to thank the cheerleaders, the volleyball, soccer and football teams, the Newaukum River Band (their music was amazing and they gave up a night to join us) Lewis County Fire District 5, Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, Napavine Police Department and Matt Baide from The Chronicle for the great article he wrote prior to our event.

A very special thank you to Traci R. Tornow Hall, who on her own designed bracelets and keychains honoring Randy, and raised close to $1,500 to donate to our event.

Thank you to Stephanie Vigre Cline for allowing us to use her tables.

We would also like to thank Plaza Jalisco, Franz Bakery Outlet Store, Walmart, Shop’n Kart, Pepsi and Dutch Bros., for their donations of food and drink for our event.

We came together to celebrate and honor Hunter and Hayden and the outpouring of love and support was everywhere. We couldn’t be prouder of our school, the community of Napavine, and so many of Hunter and Hayden’s family and friends who attended our event, from all over Lewis County and beyond.

It was a night to cherish!
