Sheryl Rose

Sheryl Rose, a beloved and joyful spirit, passed away July 20, 2015 at her home in Centralia, surrounded by family and friends. Sheryl was born May 11, 1956 in San Bernadino, California, to parents Gene and Leona Cherry, and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sheryl proudly served as a United States Army captain for five years, receiving commendations for outstanding service.  

She moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1993 and served a productive term on the Winlock City Council.  Sheryl shared her love of learning with her students in the Chehalis School District for the last 14 years and enjoyed deep respect and affection from her colleagues.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Scott Rose; sons, Daniel Dagris, Joshua Dagris, Victor John and Brett Rose; sisters, Connie Dewees-Gilger and Karen Lasky; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Following a private family service of military honor, there will be a celebration of life party and potluck  Aug. 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., at the Hub City Club in Centralia, Washington.
